Caught on fire after only one month. Couldn’t return it because the custodian literally had to take it and put the fire out. Was kind of a hassle getting amazon to understand that I couldn’t return it and just needed a refund but it all got worked out in the end and I received my refund. I’m sad though because I have the older version of this same coffee maker in my kitchen at home and haven’t had any problems with it at all. They also stopped selling them on amazon, so I couldn’t replace it.
I have this at work for when I need an extra cup to get through the day, and keep grinds, paper filters (better than the baskets for these machines) sugar and powdered creamer on hand for when things get hectic.

4 cups = 1.5-2 mugs, so plan accordingly. 4-6 scoops of coffee grind for the full liquid measure will get you a good strength cup - remember, since this is drip machine, water will just pass through the grinds once.

Turn it on and the machine will start brewing within 20 second. **Note that you will likely need to go over the 4 cup level for a full pot, as there will be loss of water due to the steaming and water retained by the grinds, so filling it to 4 cups will get you a little over halfway past 3.

Plastic, but not a cheap feel. Carafe is sturdy. Have had this for several years and still works great.
Be sure to run a cleaning through it once every month or so, with daily use.
