Got my machine followed all instructions and it didn't work. Called for help from DeLonghi and spent an hour on the video chat line with the same result. 2 days later got an email with the return label. 2 and a half weeks later got a machine back and tried it. This time the pump turned on but water ran out the back of the unit. After 2 more times, I packed it up and sent it back to Amazon. My cheap coffee pot has worked for years.
Was looking for a machine that made coffee and espresso with foaming capability. This it. It's not cheap but it's also not outrageously expensive like many other options. It does require a fair amount of attention, i.e. replacing water in the fairly small reservoir, cleaning out grounds at regular intervals and emptying the drip tray which does a flush each time the machine starts and when it automatically stops (after about 20 min with no activity).

However, this activity is also more frequent since I use it quite a lot because it makes a great cup of coffee or espresso or cappuccino or iced coffee.
